About

Vera and KM & ÉM

Vera is a multi-disciplinary project that recreates a fictional character’s material and sensorial world. Thirty-one photographs from a girl’s family were found a few years ago in a second hand shop in Brighton, these images have become the beginning of all of our narration. Vera is our muse.

Vera is an ongoing investigation of design, art, literature, creativity, memory, narrative and how we experience our life world. Each new chapter continues to expand Vera’s fictional and collaborative biography through a series of productive, collaborative and, perhaps, combative new potentialities.

Kirsty Minns and Érika Muller

Kirsty Minns and Érika Muller first met in 2008 at Established & Sons, a well renowned British furniture manufacturer. Whilst working together over three years on high scale projects and events based in the UK as well as abroad, Érika and Kirsty discovered a common likeness for ‘out of the norm’ projects.

Rich of their complimentary experience covering a wide spectrum of the Design processes – Product Design, Product Development, Art Direction and Visual Communication. The project was born out of their mutual desire to create exhibitions that could be used as a medium to stimulate discussion and debate as well as celebrate a narrative approach to the world of design.
